The scholarship process for all undergraduates and all scholarships (both major specific ones and all general scholarships) begins with 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s Panther Scholarship Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How and when to apply:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Log into the portal and your general application. This must be done a minimum of once per school year but we recommend doing this twice a year at the start of each semester (September and January).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. In the portal, complete the Letters & Science scholarship application. Here is where you will upload a copy of your transcript (also recommended to be done in September and January).

    Completing steps 1 and 2 will match you to most scholarships based on the information you enter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You may see scholarships on your Panther Scholarship Portal dashboard that you can \u201cApply To.\u201d These are scholarships which require additional information beyond steps 1 and 2. Complete any of these you wish to apply for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The Panther Scholarship Portal can also be used to find non-51ÁÔÆæ (private) scholarships<\/a> that have registered with 51ÁÔÆæ. These may be scholarships sponsored by local or national organizations, fraternal clubs or other companies outside of 51ÁÔÆæ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Students are responsible for reading and understanding 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s policies regarding scholarship applications<\/a>. Please pay particular attention to the section on the use of AI (such as Chat GPT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Non-51ÁÔÆæ Grant & Scholarship Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Saint Andrew\u2019s Society of the City of Milwaukee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Launched in 2019, the Saint Andrew\u2019s Society of the City of Milwaukee has established the Ian Day Education Scholarship as a way to support activities that enrich the educational, social and cultural traditions of Scotland. The scholarship program is open to any applicants who reside in the state of Wisconsin and are active members of a Wisconsin Scottish organization, including cultural groups, bands and dance groups and\/or those with Scottish clan or family affiliation residing in the state of Wisconsin.     Applications Open: Around October 1st each year
    Due Date: Usually December 1st each year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Shamrock Club of Wisconsin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Wisconsin\u2019s oldest and largest Irish-American membership organization. Founded March 17, 1960. In 2021, the Shamrock Club\u2019s \u201cJohn Gleeson and James Liddy Memorial Scholarship\u201d was established. This application is available to anyone who will be pursuing studies of Irish culture, arts, dance or heritage. Applicants do not need to study in Ireland. Applicant must have a high school diploma and be currently attending an institute of higher learning. The maximum award for this scholarship is $750. Additional information can be obtained by writing to the Shamrock Club Scholarship Committee or by visiting the website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Applications Open: Late February or Early March each year
    Due Date: Mid or Late April each year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Fulbright Summer Gaeltacht Awards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    These annual awards are given to anyone with experience learning the Irish language who wish to study Irish for two or more weeks in a Gaeltacht region. You can apply independently or, if you are attending the Celtic Studies summer study abroad trip to Donegal, Ireland, there is a special application. Each year, one 51ÁÔÆæ student is guaranteed an award of up to $2,200. For more information, visit the Summer Gaeltacht Awards website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
