C21 centers the humanities in its belief that innovation comes from diversity of opinions, disciplines, and experiences.\u202f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The call for applicants is typically released in October for the following academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--wrap uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-c-button--icon-right uwm-c-button--icon-chevron uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/c21\/opportunities\/faculty-and-staff\/call-for-fellows\/\" rel=\"\">Application Requirements<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--wrap uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-c-button--icon-right uwm-c-button--icon-chevron uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/c21\/research\/fellowships\/\" rel=\"\">Current Fellows<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-collaboratories\">Collaboratories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"alignright uwm-c-img--right\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/c21\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/359\/2017\/11\/venn230-150x150.png\" alt=\"Venn diagram\" class=\"wp-image-1447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/c21\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/359\/2017\/11\/venn230-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/uwm.edu\/c21\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/359\/2017\/11\/venn230.png 230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>C21 believes that the complex challenges we face in the 21<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;century are best met through collaborations across areas of expertise and experience, and that the humanities are a vital part of addressing these challenges. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Collaboratory funding is an opportunity to bring together teams of scholars across disciplines, across university and community partnerships, and across emerging and established scholars (students \/ staff \/ faculty) to inspire the generation of new ideas. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C21 Collaboratories provide opportunities to bring new, humanities-informed ideas and knowledge to many different audiences both on and off campus.
