About the Organization<\/h4>\n

Froedtert South<\/a> is a comprehensive regional healthcare system that has served southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinoies communities for more than 100 years.\u00a0 Froedtert South provides services primarily through the Froedtert Kenosha Hospital and the Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital and several other clinic locations.<\/p>\n

Froedtert Kenosha Clinic<\/a> is an acute care hospital that provides 24\/7 Emergency Department services.\u00a0 They are located on the east side of Kenosha County.\u00a0 Services such as cardiopulmonary, family practice, internal medicine, orthopedics, physical therapy, pulmonary disease, rheumatology and sleep medicine as well as diagnostic and other services are offered at this location.<\/p>\n

Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital<\/a> is an acute care hospital that provides 24\/7 Emergency Department Services.\u00a0 They also provide family practice, internal medicine, immediate care, cardiac services, digestive disease, infectious disease, surgical services, nephrology, neurology, OB\/GYN, and pulmonology services.\u00a0 The Cancer Center and Kidney Center are located withing Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital and have direct access to their service for patient convenience.\u00a0 Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital is connected to the Outpatient Surgery Center where acute care services and trained personnel are available in case of an unexpected emergency during surgery.<\/p>\n

How Many Students Do They Accept?<\/h4>\n

Froedtert South is not expected to take students for the class of 2026.<\/p>\n

About the Site<\/h4>\n

Students that intend to complete rotations with Froedtert South are typically offered a tour at the Kenosha Hospital lab, which is located in Kenosha, WI, and complete interviews with the education coordinator.\u00a0 If accepted, students complete their rotations at the Froedtert Kenosha Hospital lab and the Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital lab, which are located approximately 16 minutes apart.<\/p>\n

Additional Information to Consider<\/h4>\n

Travel to Froedtert South takes approximately 54 minutes from the main UW Milwaukee campus, and may take additional time depending on weather.\u00a0 Though not required, students placed at Froedtert South may consider relocation south of Milwaukee to live closer to this site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
