About the Organization<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education.\u00a0 Their health network operates eastern Wisconsin’s only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, an internationally recognized training and research center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies.<\/p>\n

Froedtert Health has a variety of sites available for student rotations, ranging from small hospital labs to a large central lab.\u00a0 Though there is coordination between sites for some rotations, each site is generally treated as its own entity, with its own education coordinator, tours, interviews, and rotation structure.\u00a0 See each site below for more information.<\/p>\n

Froedtert Menomonee Falls – Menomonee Falls
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Froedtert Menomonee Falls<\/a>, originally named Community Memorial Hospital, is a full-service hospital that specializes in cancer care, heart and vascular care, orthopedics, women’s health and advanced surgical procedures.\u00a0 If accepted, students complete the majority of their rotations at this hospital, but will be expected to complete microbiology rotations in the Milwaukee area at Wisconsin Diagnostics Laboratories.<\/p>\n

Froedtert Menomonee Falls typically accepts between 2 students for clinical rotations each year from the UW Milwaukee MLS program.<\/p>\n

Froedtert West Bend Hospital – West Bend
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Froedtert West Bend Hospital<\/a>, originally named St. Joseph’s Hospital, is a full-service hospital serving residents of West Bend and Washington County.\u00a0 Froedtert West Bend Hospital, specializing in birthing services, cancer care, emergency care, orthopedics, surgical services and women’s health, is part of the Froedtert & MCW health network.\u00a0 If accepted, students typically complete all rotations at this hospital.<\/p>\n

Froedtert West Bend Hospital typically accepts 1 student for clinical rotations each year from the UW – Milwaukee MLS Program.<\/p>\n

Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories (WDL) – Milwaukee
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories<\/a>, located on the grounds of Froedtert Hospital<\/a> in Milwaukee, is the central laboratory for Froedtert Health.\u00a0 WDL performs over 5 million tests annually with test capabilities that match the largest labs in the world, providing expert academic care in every community.\u00a0 WDL is one of the largest, highest volume laboratories affiliated with the 51ÁÔÆæ MLS Program.\u00a0 If accepted, students typically complete all rotations at this location.<\/p>\n
