Any changes or additions to site-specific onboarding paperwork are typically made in late summer\/early fall.\u00a0 The instructions below were last updated 07\/31\/2024 and are current for the 2024-2025 clinical rotation.

The following must be completed no later than 4 weeks prior to the start of your clinical rotation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Student Validation Information<\/h1>\n

All Froedtert Health students (Froedtert Menomonee Falls, Froedtert West Bend, and Wisconsin Diagnostic Labs) must review the Student Validation Information<\/a> page.\u00a0 Documentation of these requirements were submitted to 51ÁÔÆæ through CastleBranch.<\/p>\n

Student Verification Process<\/h1>\n

A request for clinical placement will be submitted to the Froedtert Student Verification System website<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by the 51ÁÔÆæ education coordinator (Brad).\u00a0 Once the placement request is approved by the Froedtert Health Coordinator, you will receive an email with a link to the Student Verification System to complete the onboarding process.\u00a0 See the Froedtert Verification and Onboarding Process<\/strong><\/span><\/a> sheet for more information and instructions.\u00a0 Brad will tell you once he submits your placement requests, and you should be on the lookout for follow up emails.\u00a0 Sometimes requests are verified quickly, sometimes it takes a few weeks, so you should be prepared to complete the process once the emails are sent.<\/p>\n

Below is an example of the email that you should expect to receive once you have been approved to complete the online onboarding process.\u00a0 You would click the link for “New Users<\/strong>” to complete registration on the site, and the information that is highlighted in the picture will be specific to you.\u00a0 You will use your 51ÁÔÆæ email address<\/strong> as your username\/email to log in, and you can ignore the note in the email that says that you should contact your preceptor to schedule a place to meet on your first day (they will reach out to you).\u00a0 This example email is from 2023, so please contact Brad if the email has changed so he can update this page.<\/p>\n

NOTES:\u00a0 You may also be asked to complete a word document with three security questions and email them back to Froedtert Security, so watch out for this instruction (new in 2024).<\/p>\n

At this time, you will also be taken over to security by Jess at WDL on your first day to get ID badges, so you shouldn’t need to worry about going in advance if you are at WDL or Menomonee Falls (all start at WDL).\u00a0 Students rotating at Froedtert West Bend will need to go to the Froedtert campus in advance to obtain an ID badge.<\/p>\n

Online Learning Modules<\/h1>\n

After you have been validated with a password (your email address is the username) you will be instructed to complete the online safety and compliance modules found at the Froedtert Health\u00a0Learning Center<\/a> website.\u00a0 These modules should be completed no later than 4 weeks prior to the start of the clinical rotation.<\/strong>\u00a0 See the Tip Sheet for Checking Completion of Online Modules<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n
