This year we will be holding our second annual “Battle<\/span>\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Organisms<\/span>“. Members\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Biological Sciences Labs will create brief presentations about why\u00a0the<\/span>ir study organism\/system is\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0best\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0best. What makes an organism\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0best? It could be that it’s adorable, has outrageously cool facts, or perhaps it has\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0most important implications. After hearing from\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0contenders,\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0audience will vote on\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0overall best organism. Points will be awarded for various categories spanning\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0organism itself as well as\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0quality\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0presentation.\u00a0The<\/span>\u00a0winner\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0best organism will receive perhaps\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0most invaluable prize \u2014 bragging rights until\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0next\u00a0battle<\/span>.<\/p>\n The presentation will begin at 3:00 PM in Lapham Hall N101, preceded by an informal reception from 2:45 – 3:00PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This year we will be holding our second annual “Battle\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Organisms“.
