Members\u00a0<span class=\"mark91egrqxpg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">of<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0Biological Sciences Labs will create brief presentations about why\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>ir study organism\/system is\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0best\u00a0<span class=\"mark91egrqxpg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">of<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0best. What makes an organism\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0best? It could be that it&#8217;s adorable, has outrageously cool facts, or perhaps it has\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0most important implications. After hearing from\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0contenders,\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0audience will vote on\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0overall best organism. Points will be awarded for various categories spanning\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0organism itself as well as\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0quality\u00a0<span class=\"mark91egrqxpg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">of<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0presentation.\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">The<\/span>\u00a0winner\u00a0<span class=\"mark91egrqxpg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">of<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0best organism will receive perhaps\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0most invaluable prize \u2014 bragging rights until\u00a0<span class=\"markooarnfzxg\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">the<\/span>\u00a0next\u00a0<span class=\"mark2i219kxy8\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">battle<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation will begin at 3:00 PM in Lapham Hall N101, preceded by an informal reception from 2:45 &#8211; 3:00PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This year we will be holding our second annual &#8220;Battle\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Organisms&#8220;.
