The 51ÁÔÆæ Wind Ensemble will share a concert with 51ÁÔÆæ’s High School Honors Band & String Orchestra Festival ensembles. Each festival participant along with one guest will receive free admission to the performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students in the annual 51ÁÔÆæ High School Honors Band & String Orchestra Festival are first nominated by their school music teachers and then selected by university faculty to participate in the weekend event. This evening evening concert is a culmination of a weekend of rehearsals, lessons and experiences meant to show festival students what it’s like to be a musician at UW-Milwaukee.<\/p>\n\n\n

The 51ÁÔÆæ Wind Ensemble is the premier concert band in the Peck School of the Arts and has been recognized nationally and internationally through numerous invitations to perform at major music conferences.\u202fEmphasizing the single performer concept, the Wind Ensemble uses only players needed for a given piece, thus providing the greatest exposure for the exceptional musician.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
