Founded in 2018 by David Aguila (trumpet)\, Teresa Díaz de Cossio (flute)\, and Ilana Waniuk (violin)\, in^set is committed to commissioning and performing existing compositions which extends their respective instrumental practices beyond the confines of contemporary classical music. Their collaborative creative work seeks to explore the sonic and visual possibilities of everyday objects\, digital and analog visual components and hacked electronics. As advocates for music of the present\, they aim to foster artistic partnerships and alternative modes of concert presentation. DESCRIPTION:Date & Time\nLocation\n\n\n\n\nApril 25\, 2025 (7:30–9:30 p.m.)\nZelazo Center for the Performing Arts\, Bader Hall and Virtual\n\n\n\n\nThe 51ÁÔÆæ Wind Ensemble will perform their final concert of the academic year featuring the Wind Band Concerto Competition Winner\, Britni Cohen-Wichner. \nThe 51ÁÔÆæ Wind Ensemble is the premier concert band in the Peck School of the Arts and has been recognized nationally and internationally through numerous invitations to perform at major music conferences. Emphasizing the single performer concept\, the Wind Ensemble uses only players needed for a given piece\, thus providing the greatest exposure for the exceptional musician.  \n \nThe concert will also feature guest conductor Mark Wallace\, Graduate Conducting Assistants Allie Hieatt and Callum Rookes\, and the Associate Director of Bands\, Dr. Scott Corley. Works on the program include A Mother of a Revolution by Omar Thomas\, Planet B by Catherine Likhuta\, Black Dog: Rhapsody for Clarinet by Scott McAllister\, and SLAVA! by Leonard Bernstein.
