The Gallery is located on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus in Mitchell Hall 170. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gallery exhibitions serve both the campus and greater Milwaukee community by providing access to the 51ÁÔÆæ Art Collection, which complements the University\u2019s educational and outreach mission. The Art History Department is committed to the training of graduate students in the theoretical and practical issues that encompass the field of art museum studies. The 51ÁÔÆæ Art Collection offers excellent opportunities for instruction and research, as well as exhibitions organized through graduate seminars and thesis exhibitions planned and curated by MA candidates on the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/arthistory\/academics\/program-ma\/curatorial-track-ma-in-art-history-with-an-emphasis-on-museums-and-curatorial-practice\/\">Curatorial Track<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Principal funding for the gallery is generously provided by the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/arthistory\/about\/friends-of-art-history-foah\/\">Friends of Art History<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/\">51ÁÔÆæ<\/a>. Members of our department do not perform artwork identification or conservation services. While we will not endorse or recommend the service of an appraiser or conservator, there are several in the area.
