Find out more about loans, grants, scholarships, study abroad, tuition waivers, assistantships, and fellowships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"size-p-md uwm-c-link--arrow\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/finances\/finances\/receiving-financial-aid\/\">Apply for Federal Financial Aid<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-uwm-graduate-school-financial-aid\">51ÁÔÆæ Graduate School Financial Aid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fellowships-nbsp\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Fellowships&nbsp;<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The\u00a051ÁÔÆæ Graduate\u00a0School offers a number of\u00a0competitive\u00a0fellowships, including\u00a0the Distinguished\u00a0Graduate School\u00a0Fellowship (<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/graduateschool\/types-of-funding\/#fellowships_container\">DGSF<\/a>) and\u00a0Advanced Opportunity Program (<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/graduateschool\/types-of-funding\/#fellowships_container\">AOP<\/a>)\u00a0Fellowships, which are open to graduate students in art history. Nominations for these fellowships are made by the faculty. <b>Applicants to the program are invited to request that the faculty consider their nomination for a DGSF or AOP Fellowship as part of the application process but may be required to submit additional letters of recommendation for this purpose.<\/b> The faculty\u2019s nomination decisions are made in January. Questions about these opportunities should be directed to Kay Wells, Director of Graduate Studies (<\/span><a href=\"mailto:wellsk@uwm.edu\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">wellsk@uwm.edul<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">).\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-distinguished-graduate-student-fellowship-nbsp\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowship&nbsp;<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Eighteen academic-year Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowships (DGSFs)&nbsp;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">are<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">&nbsp;awarded annually to exceptional 51ÁÔÆæ graduate students. Awards are for full-time study only. AOP Fellowships are designed to assist members of groups under-represented in graduate study, and other disadvantaged students, to enter and complete a graduate degree at 51ÁÔÆæ. Awards are granted to newly admitted or currently enrolled 51ÁÔÆæ graduate students.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:360}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">AOP Fellowships are awarded annually to qualified graduate students. Awards are for full-time study only.
