51ÁÔÆæ-CRM routinely performs various types of architecture\/history investigations to assist clients with compliance tasks related to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), as well as Wisconsin Statutes 44.40. Architecture\/history studies completed over the past two years have included surveys, preparation of Determination of Eligibility forms, Effects Documentation, Consultation, development of mitigation plans, and Memorandum of Agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surveys<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

51ÁÔÆæ-CRM has completed small and large scale surveys for projects throughout Wisconsin. Within the past two years, surveys have been completed in Dane, Dodge, Door, Kenosha, Racine, Bayfield, and Outagamie Counties. These investigations have surveyed residences, commercial buildings, bridges, farmsteads, and districts. The results of the surveys are presented in standard reporting forms, technical memos or reports of investigations for architecture\/history projects as required. The 51ÁÔÆæ-CRM program has also successfully completed a series of intensive architecture history surveys at multiple locations simultaneously within Wisconsin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evaluations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Identified potentially eligible properties that have the potential to be impacted from a project are subjected to further research and evaluation to determine eligibility for listing in the NRHP. Results of the evaluation studies are presented in the Determination of Eligibility form, along with supplemental materials (maps and photographs). Types of DOEs that have been prepared include downtown historic districts, farmsteads, commercial structures, residential homes and districts, and large-scale recreational districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effects Documentation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

51ÁÔÆæ-CRM routinely prepares Determination of No Adverse Effects for those projects determined to not adversely impact historic properties found to be eligible for listing in the NRHP. Such documentation has been prepared for the following projects: STH 28 (Dodge County), STH 42 (Door County), Wis 69\/92 (Dane County), and the USH 51 Corridor Study in Dane County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consultation, Mitigation, and MOAs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For those projects that would have an adverse effect on historic properties, 51ÁÔÆæ-CRM prepares the Documentation for Consultation, is involved in the Consultation efforts, and assists with the preparation of agreement documents. 51ÁÔÆæ-CRM is in the process of preparing consultation documents for the USH 51 project in Dane County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
