Biographical Sketch

Pete Geraci is the Department Administrator and an Affiliated Researcher for the Department of Anthropology. Pete is a Registered Public Archaeologist, has a Master's Degree in Anthropology from 51ÁÔÆæ, and specializes in Midwestern Archaeology, Chipped Stone Tool Analysis, and Landscape Archaeology. He is currently the director of the Belrose Farm Archaeological Project, a community-based archaeological survey and testing project aimed at documenting the archaeology of a 200-acre farmstead located on the Fox River in northern Illinois. This project has identified several new archaeological sites and has provided opportunities for student, community members and local archaeologists to learn and participate in archaeological methods under the supervision of trained archaeologists.
