Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our courses are the most equitably accessed place where all students<\/em> can experience the High Impact Practice Eight Key Elements. These eight elements of quality leverage the \u201chigh impact<\/em>\u201d that increases achievement, graduation, retention, and learning. We will begin with an overview of the HIPs Eight Elements with 51ÁÔÆæ examples of embedding them in assignments, activities, and outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will break into pairs to practice embedding the Eight Elements into your course assignment. Please be sure to bring or be able to access a course assignment for the exercise.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will close with a brief review of strategies and tools for departments to scale and sustain HIPs in their department and curriculum based on the fall Success Summit Action Plans. Please register and encourage colleagues from your unit or department to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
