This session introduces vibe coding\, a method for collaborating with AI step-by-step to create usable tools\, activities\, or digital resources. We’ll examine what happens when prompts are too broad (AI burnout and hallucination) versus when they’re structured as a series of build-and-refine steps. You’ll leave with practical models for guiding AI through multi-stage academic projects. \n\n\n\nThis session will be held online via Zoom. Registration is not required but helps us prepare. \n\n\n\nJoin us via this link! \n\n\n\nFacilitators\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\nVirtually on Zoom\, please register to receive an email with the link. \n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Form URL:/advancing-learning/event/active-teaching-lab-2025-12-03/ LOCATION:WI CATEGORIES:Career and Leadership Development,CETL Events,Faculty and Staff,51ÁÔÆæ Campus Events,Virtual,Workshops ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:/advancing-learning/wp-content/uploads/sites/643/2024/04/active-teaching-lab.png ORGANIZER;CN="Lane Sunwall":MAILTO:sunwall@uwm.edu X-TRIBE-STATUS: END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Chicago:20251203T140000 DTEND;TZID=America/Chicago:20251203T150000 DTSTAMP:20260419T013749 CREATED:20251111T175259Z LAST-MODIFIED:20251111T175326Z UID:10000525-1764770400-1764774000@uwm.edu SUMMARY:Getting Started with Vevox Polling DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\nThis introductory workshop will guide participants through the essentials of using Vevox\, 51ÁÔÆæ’s supported student response and engagement system. We will begin by demonstrating how to log in using 51ÁÔÆæ’s Single Sign-On and how to create and manage a Vevox session. Participants will learn how to build common poll types (multiple choice\, word cloud\, rating\, and open text) and how to use them to support active learning in class. The session will also cover how to install and use the Vevox PowerPoint add-in\, enabling polls to run seamlessly during live presentations. Finally\, we will walk through the Canvas integration\, including how to sync sessions and enable grade passback so student responses can be recorded and transferred directly into the Canvas Gradebook. \n\n\n\nBy the end of the session\, participants will be able to confidently create and run live polls in their course\, integrate them smoothly into lectures\, and link results with their Canvas courses. \n\n\n\nFacilitators\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Location\n\n\n\nVirtual on Zoom\, register for link. \n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Form URL:/advancing-learning/event/getting-started-with-vevox-polling/ LOCATION:WI CATEGORIES:Career and Leadership Development,CETL Events,Faculty and Staff,51ÁÔÆæ Campus Events,Virtual,Workshops ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:/advancing-learning/wp-content/uploads/sites/643/2025/08/vevox-graphic.png ORGANIZER;CN="Benjamin Gautsch":MAILTO:bgautsch@uwm.edu X-TRIBE-STATUS: END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Chicago:20251205T120000 DTEND;TZID=America/Chicago:20251205T130000 DTSTAMP:20260419T013749 CREATED:20250609T174845Z LAST-MODIFIED:20250714T155701Z UID:10000463-1764936000-1764939600@uwm.edu SUMMARY:Spring Success Planning | TA Professional Development DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\nDecember’s session helps you finish strong and prepare for spring success.
