feedback throughout the test-taking process.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Our newest product, these tutorial exams are designed to provide elaborative feedback as you take the test.\u00a0 Following the submission of each answer to each question, you are shown if you are correct or incorrect with feedback about both your response and the correct process.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Practice exams replicating taking an ACS Exam.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">These practice exams are designed to help you practice taking a test in preparation for your standardized exam.\u00a0 While you work through the questions on the test, you are also asked to respond with your mental effort for each question.<\/p>\n<p>We have designed these tools to complement each other.\u00a0 Many students find it useful to use the tutorial practice exam first, then study using the study guide and finish with practicing using the total)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h6>Product Description<\/h6>\n<p>For each question, you will be first asked to click your answer (like you would on a typical ACS exam).\u00a0 Following that, you will be provided with feedback for your answer.\u00a0 If you are correct, you will be told this, but you will also be provided with the process to solve the question correctly (for you to compare to how you solve the problem).\u00a0 If you are incorrect, you will also be told this, and you will be provided with where you might have had difficulties as well as how to solve the problem correctly.<\/p>\n<h6>Tutorial practice exam report<\/h6>\n<p>All of this will then be summarized for you in a report you will get when you finish and submit your practice exam.\u00a0 This summary will include for <strong>each question<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The chapter and content from the ACS study guide<\/li>\n<li>Your performance on the question<\/li>\n<li>The chapter and question number from the study guide of items that are the same as this question<\/li>\n<li>The chapter and question number from the study guide of items that are similar or use the same concept as this to a traditional analytical exam<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h6>Product Description<\/h6>\n<p>The online practice exam is designed to provide more information than simply &#8220;how am I doing on this material?&#8221; After each question, you are asked to rate how much mental effort it took you to accomplish that last question. You rate this on a 5-point scale from not much at all to a large amount of effort.<\/p>\n<p>The Examinations Institute developed this method using paper-and-pencil first and then moved it to an online environment. It is designed to compliment the use of the study guide which can be used in a more tutorial mode.\u00a0 \u00a0The key is that you need to approach the practice exam as if it were an actual exam &#8211; not trying to look up answers you don&#8217;t know right away, but rather practice answering the questions just like you would during the test itself.\u00a0 In addition, you need to try to make your best judgement on how hard you think each item is.\u00a0 Students who use the practice exam in this way reported it as quite helpful during our development of this new tool.<\/p>\n<h6>Practice exam report<\/h6>\n<p>Once you take your practice exam, you will receive a report providing you with a score in each category corresponding to the topic areas in the study guide.\u00a0 In addition to this, you will also receive an average score of your mental effort corresponding to the same topic areas.\u00a0 Together these can provide you a more comprehensive picture of your understanding and how you may want to target your further studies to prepare for your ACS exam.\u00a0 With a final exam looming, many students find this extra information helps them organize where to invest their study time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To order a tutorial or practice exam, click here.\u00a0 Bundles of our practice exams with our study guides is also available and offers a savings when purchased together.
